OCTOBER 21, 2020
Dear Friends in Christ,
Wow, time sure does fly when you’re having a good time. I can’t believe it is already October! The leaves have all changed colors, we have gotten our first snow of the season, and we are expected to get down to 10 degrees in a couple of days. Fall is definitely in full swing and we have been busy, busy here in Monument over the last several weeks.
For the entire month of September, we had evangelist Stephen Perkins and church helps ministry 7S Ministries Brother Todd Steele with us. Both men challenged the church in their personal walk with the Lord and also encouraged us to be actively reaching our friends and neighbors for Christ. We ended the month with a four day Revival meeting and I was very pleased how the Lord worked. Not only were they a help from the pulpit, but both men and their families also came alongside the church and helped us get the Word out. With their help we were able to blitz our community with John and Romans and we put out close to 3000 during the time they were with us. We almost immediately began seeing fruit and have had visitors just about every service over the last 6 weeks. Please pray that we will have an impact in their lives for Christ, that we will see fruit that remains, and the Lord keeps sending us more.
I would have you pray for a man named Dan in particular. He began coming during the revival and has come to Sunday AM service three times now. He says he really enjoys the services and the spirit of the church. He is confused on a few things and while he claims he is saved I would ask that you pray that is the case and if not, that the Lord will reveal it to Him. He does seem to respond well to instruction so pray for wisdom for me as well as I minister to Him.
We also want to praise God as a few of our folks have responded to God’s call to serve in their local church. I now have a man leading songs. Please pray for Brother Tony and his young family as they have a strong desire to be a godly family. His wife Anne is expecting their third child in May. We also have a dear woman who helps my wife out with piano. Sister Leesa sure loves her King James Bible. Praise God! The help is definitely appreciated.
We are also very grateful for the help of the Escaleras. Church helps missionary Jean Paul and his wife Melody have come alongside us, rolled up their sleeves and gotten to work in so many areas. There presence has added renewed zeal to the church plant, and we are so excited to see what the Lord has for Victory Baptist Church. I would ask that you pray for the Escalera’s health.
I would also ask for prayer for my wife Linda. She broke her foot on October 12. We are thankful she is in a boot instead of a cast so is slightly more mobile, but she is still severely limited in what she can do. Pray for quick healing (Doc says 3 months) and also pray for the rest of us too. Having Mom out of commission is challenging for the family for sure. God is faithful and good and we will see His mighty hand in all of it.
Pray for us as we continue to remain faithful in Monument, CO, encouraging and equipping believers and telling the lost about salvation in Jesus Christ. We are praying for you.

In His service,
